(71) CAPACITORS IN CYLINDRICAL ALUMINUM CASING APPLICATION
ESTAprop® PhMKP-type capacitors in cylindrical aluminum casing have been designed for Power Factor Correction in low voltage plants. Loads as motors and transformers consume real power as well as reactive power. Generators, supply cables, and other electrical distribution equipment should be relieved from reactive power.
(70) The Vishay ESTA PhMKP and PhMKPg series of Power Factor Correction capacitors row provide higher kVar/voltage combinations for use in low-voltage systems. The newly available 116 mm diameter capacitors complete the successful range of compact and slim cylindrical capacitors of 64 mm and 84 mm diameter design up to the lowest outputs of the triangular can design of the PhMKDg model. The 116 mm starts where the output of the 84 mm design ends. At the point of change, the customer has two options: the lower height profile of the 116 mm or the slimmer diameter of the 84 mm design.
The entire range of PhMKP and PhMKPg products, including this expanded range, are offered in both oil-filled and dry versions.
